Privacy Policy – Juntendo University

Juntendo University (“the University”) is founded on the spirit of “Jin” (benevolence) and respects the dignity of individuals. To uphold this principle and in compliance with Japanese laws, including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and the Number Act, the University has established this Privacy Policy to ensure proper handling of personal information.

  1. Compliance with Laws
    The University complies with all relevant laws and regulations regarding personal information.
  2. Collection of Personal Information
    Personal information is collected appropriately and only to the extent necessary for education, research, medical services and other university activities. The purposes of use are specified whenever possible.
  3. Use of Personal Information
    Personal information is used only for the purposes stated at the time of collection. It will not be provided to third parties except where required by law or with the individual’s consent.
    ● Personal numbers will not be disclosed for purposes other than those prescribed by law, even with consent.
  4. Security Measures
    The University implements appropriate organizational, physical and technical measures to ensure the security of personal information.
  5. Management Regulations
    The University has established the Personal Information Management Regulations to enforce this policy and requires all faculty, staff and personnel to comply.
  6. Continuous Improvement
    The University strives for continuous improvement in personal information management. Any revisions to this policy will be published through appropriate means.
