Announcement of the 9th ISPACOS Symposium

The 9th ISPACOS Symposium will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 19:00 to 21:00 (Japan Standard Time).
At the 8th Symposium, we focused on “patient-centered care,” which lies at the heart of ISPACOS’s mission, and received valuable feedback and heartfelt reflections from many participants. However, due to time constraints, we were unable to engage in sufficient discussion with everyone on this topic, which remained a source of regret for the organizing committee.
Thus, at the 9th Symposium we would like to once again take “patient-centered care” as our main theme and provide an opportunity for further discussion of this important topic. We would like to present a realistic hypothetical scenario that could plausibly occur and encourage everyone to reflect on it and engage in discussion.
Patients, family members, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, basic researchers, those working in government agencies, those in industry, patients and families living abroad, and physicians continuing their practice overseas—people from diverse professions, positions and regions, each with their own perspectives and experiences—let us come together to consider and discuss what “patient-centered care” truly means to all of us. We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible!
