Announcement of the 15th ISPACOS Symposium

The 15th ISPACOS Symposium will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 17:00 to 19:00 (Japan Standard Time).
We will hold an international symposium under the theme:
“STIGMA – What Images Are Associated with the Word ‘Cancer’?”
“Stigma” originally meant a physical brand or mark, and the term has since come to refer to prejudice and negative perceptions directed toward a disease and those affected by it. What perceptions are associated with the word “cancer”?
In this symposium, we will explore the prejudice and societal perceptions faced by cancer patients and their families, and share differences in awareness and the challenges observed across countries.
Healthcare professionals from overseas, including Morocco and Thailand, will participate in this symposium, engaging in discussions from an international perspective. The symposium will be conducted primarily in Japanese, with some sessions presented in English. For the online broadcast via Zoom, live captioning with simultaneous interpretation will be available in Japanese, English, French and Thai. This will enable participants who are not fluent in Japanese or English to access the sessions.
The symposium will take place at Building 7, 1st Floor, Conference Room, Hongo-Ochanomizu Campus, Juntendo University, Tokyo, Japan. Participants may also join the symposium online via Zoom.
This symposium will provide a valuable opportunity for patients, family members, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, researchers and representatives from healthcare-related companies to exchange perspectives from their respective positions.
